A Multi-Generational Journey: JW Marriott Maldives Kaafu Atoll Island Resort Unveils Its Golden Week Celebrations

Nestled in Kaafu Atoll’s largest lagoon, JW Marriott Maldives Kaafu Atoll Island Resort invites guests to celebrate Chinese Golden Week with a thoughtfully curated program for multi-generational families. From October 1 to 8, 2025, the week unfolds as a journey of discovery where culinary, family activities, ocean adventures, and wellness rituals come together to create golden moments that bring families and friends closer.
Dining is at the heart of the celebration, as Veyo unveils a series of experiences that honor both Asian and Maldivian traditions. An abundant Imperial Flavors buffet dinner at Veyo and the restaurant’s signature Indian Ocean Night, inspired by the diverse flavors of the region’s coastal culture set the tone for the season. Interactive sessions add a playful dimension through Mini Spring Roll Making and a Dim Sum Dumpling Class designed especially for children. As the sun sets over turquoise horizons, Wahoo beach becomes the setting for a sunset cocktail where canapés with Cantonese touch are paired with crafted cocktails and celebratory toasts, framed by the glow of the evening sky.
Beyond the plate, the spirit of Golden Week is woven into experiences that bring families together through creativity and discovery. At the Family by JW™ Kids Club, children can join the Golden Coin Treasure Hunts, explore the art of chopstick-inspired crafts, decorate masks and fans, and create panda sand art on the beach, while the Teens Club offers friendly competition with a table tennis tournament. On the resort’s shoreline, families gather for beachside games that bonds children and parents in a shared play. Watersports and Dive Center offers adventure with Kayak Races, guided snorkeling excursions to Emboodhoo Island, and a half-day Malé City Tour, with champions of the kayak race receiving a complimentary Sea Bob experience.
The celebration extends into moments of restoration, as Spa by JW introduces treatments and rituals inspired by the season. The Golden Citrus Renewal combines a 60-minute relaxing massage with a Mandarin-infused radiant scrub, while the Golden Couple Escape offers a shared journey of renewal with a relaxing massage, jade stone facial, and a bath ritual accompanied by a curated tea selection or sparkling wine. Beyond the treatment rooms, wellbeing takes shape through the Seven Days of Well-Being program, featuring sunrise Golden Flow Yoga, tranquil Moonlit Meditation, and a selection of intensive workout sessions from Mat Pilates to High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) Burner. Guests are also invited to enjoy a seasonal herbal tea selection, adding a rich layer into a holistic wellness journey that nurtures balance of mind, body and spirit.
“Our Associates are deeply passionate about creating meaningful experiences that resonate across generations,” said Srikanth Devarapalli, General Manager of JW Marriott Maldives Kaafu Atoll Island Resort. “Golden Week is a time of reunion and shared moments, and we look forward to welcoming families and travelers from around the world.”
The resort is home to 80 villas, each designed with a private pool and direct access to the Indian Ocean. Guests may choose an overwater villa with steps descending into the lagoon or a beach pool villa set along soft white sands and framed by lush tropical greenery. Designed for couples, families, and multi-generational gatherings, the villas offer space, comfort, and an oceanfront setting that makes time together effortless.
Guests can book resort’s Full Board Package and take advantage of the Complimentary Speedboat Transfers for a seamless Golden Week escape to Maldives. Book from now until December 10, 2025, for stays until December 15, 2025.
