Air Seychelles to offer direct flights to Maldives
Air Seychelles has announced that the airline will operate passenger services from Johannesburg to Maldives between 4th December 2020 and 9th January 2021.
The flights scheduled every Friday night from Johannesburg will provide travelers the chance to plan ahead for the festive holiday season now that both Seychelles and Maldives are open for international travelers.
Maldives reopened its borders on 15th July with resorts and liveaboards resuming operations whereas guesthouses resumed operations on 15th October. Currently, an online health declaration form is required to be filled within 24 hours prior to departure to Maldives and a negative COVID-19 PCR test result, taken maximum 96 hours before departure to Maldives, is also needed by all tourists.
The Air Seychelles aircraft will make an intermediate stop briefly in Seychelles before moving on to Velana International Airport in Maldives. The return flight will allow for a full 7-day holiday in Maldives. Beach-lovers can also enjoy the extra stopover time in Seychelles on their return flight back home.
Additionally, Air Seychelles has extended its waiver policy to provide travelers more flexibility if they choose to rebook and fly at a later time; travelers with tickets issued any time prior to 31st December can now benefit from this policy with no penalty fee.
Maldives has also introduced the first COVID-19 travel insurance in the country, Allied Inbound, which covers medical charges, isolation facility charges, emergency medical transportation charges and interment charges following a positive diagnosis for COVID-19 during their stay in the country.
Travelers can book their tickets online or via local travel agents, or they can also contact the Call Center on +2484391000
