Bahrain’s flag carrier, Gulf Air has resumed flights to Maldives from 13th December 2020 onwards. Gulf Air operated its first airline to Maldives during October 2019.

Two weekly flights are to travel to Maldives, and due to the demand for flights to Maldives, Gulf Air is sending its Boeing 787-9 aircraft to the island nation.

While Middle East carriers Emirate, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways and now Gulf Air have resumed flights to Maldives, Qatar Airways recently increased daily flight frequency to three flights daily.
