Maldives showcased in Hungary’s 1000UT B2B Networking event

Visit Maldives participated in a destination-focused B2B networking event with 1000UT, one of Hungary’s leading tour operators, on 30 September 2025 at the UP Hotel, Budapest. The half-day event provided a platform for Visit Maldives to engage directly with Hungarian travel agents, showcase the destination’s diverse offerings, and reinforce the Maldives’ position as a premier luxury and experiential travel destination.
Hungary, an important market within Central and Eastern Europe, has shown increasing interest in the Maldives, complementing arrivals from neighbouring markets. By participating in this event, Visit Maldives aims to sustain top-of-mind awareness among travel trade partners and create new opportunities to connect with agents and buyers, further promoting the Maldives brand across the region.
The networking session brought together 52 travel agents and included presentations from Visit Maldives and five key industry partners: Exciting Maldives, Splendid Asia Pvt Ltd, Ayada Maldives, Riu Atoll, Riu Palace Maldives, FlyDubai, Turkish Airlines and Cocoon Maldives.
The event is part of a broader strategy by Visit Maldives to strengthen relationships in Central and Eastern Europe, including initiatives such as the I AM MALDIVES – CEE Roadshow 2025. These efforts are designed to highlight the Maldives’ unique travel experiences and drive arrivals across multiple market segments.
Through strategic engagement with travel agents and key partners, Visit Maldives continues to position the nation not only as a paradise of beauty but also as a destination of experiences, discovery, and lasting memories. By fostering connections, sharing insights, and promoting the Maldives’ distinctive offerings, the initiative strengthens both the destination’s visibility and its long-term appeal to travellers from Hungary and beyond.
