This marks the first time the Maldives has received this esteemed global accolade, adding to its impressive collection of WTA awards.

This year witnessed significant accolades with the Maldives being named the WTA’s Indian Ocean’s Leading Destination and Indian Ocean's Leading Green Destination 2024 for the first time. In addition to this, the Maldives was also awarded the Indian Ocean's Leading Honeymoon Destination 2024 and Indian Ocean's Leading Dive Destination 2024.
