The main objective for Maldives in the Russian and CIS markets is to keep up with the market and consumer trends and efficiently present the destination’s USP to Russian and CIS travel industry partners, media and end-consumers via a segmented approach in a rapidly changing market environment.
Russia is now the top market for Maldives and in order to maintain and increase the visibility of the destination and get the most from the momentum, a few large-scale marketing programs and initiatives have been in place as early as the borders were opened from 15th July 2020.
Among the ongoing and completed campaigns are the digital projects with Travelata and, consumer advertising on TV, organisation of filming in Maldives for MUZ TV,  special media project with Aeroflot Magazine, advertising in online and print media targeting affluent consumers and frequent travelers, online agents training and destinations presentations for retailers via online platforms with top TOs, agents networks and B2B media partners.  
A number of projects are in the pipeline for the remaining months of 2020 that will be continued in 2021.
