Visit Maldives Dazzles Dubai with Immersive Maldivian Evening at ATM 2025
Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/ Visit Maldives) has successfully hosted the highly anticipated “Maldivian Evening 2025” at the Theatre of Digital Art (TODA) in Dubai, delivering an unforgettable multi-sensory experience that immersed guests in the magic of the Maldives. Held alongside ATM 2025, the evening celebrated the Maldives' rich heritage, cinematic beauty, and luxury travel experiences.
The event was joined by the Honourable Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mr Thoriq Ibrahim, and welcomed an exclusive gathering of travel trade professionals, media representatives, influencers, VIPs, and government stakeholders. Guests were treated to a Maldivian-themed red carpet reception, followed by personalised tours of TODA’s immersive spaces with Visit Maldives officials, setting the tone for an extraordinary evening of culture, storytelling, and entertainment.
In his welcome remarks, Minister Thoriq stated, "The true Maldivian experience begins and ends with our people, and our commitment to sustainability. We take pride in taking care of our guests and place intimate connections above all else. Hospitality, in harmony with our natural environment, has always been central to our cultural identity."
Highlights of the event included the premiere of the short film "Dhivehi Dreams", a theatrical and gastronomic performance of the timeless folklore "Dhon Hiyala & Alifulhu", and a vibrant fashion show featuring traditional Maldivian attire with contemporary flair. Invitees also experienced live musical performances, cultural dances, and a rich buffet of Maldivian fusion dishes, each dish thoughtfully paired with storytelling elements.
Interactive zones captivated attendees with 360° immersive experiences, Virtual Reality explorations of Maldivian ecosystems, and live traditional craftsmanship displays. A standout moment was the "Synergy of Art and Sound", where renowned artist Raappe created a live artwork accompanied by dynamic music. The evening concluded with an electrifying performance by Maldivian band Skyrock, fusing local influences with global beats.
