Running from the end of November until early January, the resort's festive calendar promises  a series of enchanting events designed to bring families and friends together in one of the  world's most spectacular settings.

Festivities Begin with Traditional Cake Mixing 

The holiday celebrations kick off on November 26th with the much-loved Christmas Cake  Mixing Ceremony at Meera Bar. This experience for all in-house guests offers the perfect  opportunity to celebrate the season together alongside bartenders and fellow travelers. 

Guests can participate in the time-honored tradition of mixing dried fruits, nuts, and aromatic  spices that will later transform into the resort's signature Christmas cake. This hands-on  experience, accompanied by DJ music, creates a festive atmosphere while bringing together  guests from around the world in the spirit of the season. 

Christmas Tree Lighting Magic 

The Christmas celebrations continue on December 17th with the enchanting Christmas Tree  Lighting ceremony at Dhoni Bar Beach. Guests will gather under the starlit Maldivian sky to  witness the magical moment when holiday lights illuminate the tropical evening, accompanied  by cheerful melodies and warm holiday atmosphere. 

Family-Friendly Festive Fun 

Recognizing the importance of creating magical moments for younger guests, Canareef has  dedicated December 18th to "Festive Fun for Kids" at the Kids Club. Children can immerse  themselves in holiday creativity through Christmas tree decorating, card making, gingerbread  cookie decorating, and festive face painting – ensuring the youngest family members are fully  engaged in the celebration.
