At Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives, the spirit of giving back is always close to our hearts. An IHG initiative ‘Giving for Good,’ is a month-long program packed with activities that promote sustainability, community support, and the wellbeing of those around us. Our team and guests will come together to make a positive impact in meaningful ways throughout September.

During the month of September, the resort team will travel to Maafushi for an impactful tree planting initiative. This effort will help improve the island’s ecosystem while contributing to the island's natural beauty—an important part of our long-term commitment to sustainability in the Maldives. Bringing joy to children in need is a cornerstone of the ‘Giving for Good ‘initiative. The resort team will be visiting the Hulhumale Autism Centre to distribute books and toys, spreading happiness and providing much-needed resources to support their development.

“At Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma, we believe in supporting every part of our community. We’ll be delivering care packages and will also be hosting a special lunch for the children at the Children’s Centre. This event is all about showing kindness and providing these children with essentials to make their daily lives a little easier” adds Mark.

This year a Blood Donation Camp will be organised and employees will be invited to join in giving back to the community in the most profound way possible—by donating blood. Another event ‘Walk for a Cause’ will be organised for the resort staff. This event will see our resort staff walking along the beautiful Kandooma Beach, coming together in unity to support a worthy cause. It’s a great way to stay fit while supporting the health and wellbeing of our broader community.

Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives has always believed in lending a helping hand. Our team will be heading to the Guraidhoo Sandbank to lead a clean-up drive followed by tree planting. They will also work with locals on small refurbishment projects in the islands of Gulhi and Guraidhoo, helping to create better spaces for the communities to thrive.
