Maldives Showcased at PATA Travel Mart 2025 in Bangkok

Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) will promote the Maldives as a premier short-haul and year-round destination at the upcoming PATA Travel Mart 2025, scheduled to take place from 26 to 28 August at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok, Thailand.
PATA Travel Mart is one of the Asia Pacific region’s most established international travel trade exhibitions, offering extensive networking and contracting opportunities for travel and tourism organisations. The 2025 edition will welcome more than 1,000 delegates from over 60 global destinations, with over 30 appointment slots available across two days, a sold-out full-day Knowledge Forum, and a range of social functions and side events.
Visit Maldives will showcase the diverse range of Maldivian products and experiences to regional and global travel trade stakeholders. Participation at the event is part of the strategy to strengthen the Maldives brand in the Asia-Pacific region, maintain top-of-mind positioning, highlight the country’s premium offerings, and boost last minute business relations towards the summer and shoulder seasons. Southeast Asian  travellers are particularly drawn to the Maldives for its romantic ambiance, natural beauty, and opportunities for relaxation, and the event will also promote family, adventure, and luxury segments to further expand awareness in the market.
Activities at the Maldives stand will include one-on-one business meetings with the travel trade, distribution of destination information and promotional materials, a trade survey to gather insights and trends from the market, and screenings of promotional videos highlighting the Maldivian experience.
Arrivals from Thailand have reached 10,165 as of July 2025, with 40,061 visitors welcomed to the Maldives from the wider South East Asia region during this period. These figures reflect the region’s importance as a growing source market for the Maldives.
Participation in PATA Travel Mart 2025 provides an important platform to strengthen B2B contacts, build new relationships, and enhance visibility for the Maldives as a leading destination. This engagement is also aligned with Visit Maldives’ upcoming regional activities, including participation at ITB Asia 2025.
