Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Maldives was forced to implement stringent measures and temporary travel restrictions. This event was held in order to convey hope and ensure that this message reaches across the globe.

In addition, local musicians and other local talent brought their stories to life through song, music and shared sentiments.
Throughout the 4 hours, interesting polls were conducted and there were continuous interactions with viewers to keep them enticed and engaged. Many of them expressed their love for Maldives and their anticipation to return once the borders reopen.
The most thrilling part of this event was the Lucky Draw Raffle which took place simultaneously. Over 10,000 people participated to win a FREE HOLIDAY in Maldives. 30 resorts and guest houses contributed to this.
The success of this event is also owed to the help, support and contribution by the Ministry of Tourism, Public Service Media (PSM), Mondhu Productions and Orca Media.
This is one of the numerous initiatives taken by MMPRC to kickstart tourism in the Maldives, as it reopens its borders. MMPRC will be carrying out such virtual events and other digital marketing and promotional activities in the future, to ensure Maldives is the most sought after destination in the world.
