Moji Maldivi Unveils the Latest Edition of Its Magazine, Strengthening Cultural and Tourism Dialogue Between the Maldives and the Balkans

Moji Maldivi is proud to announce the release of the latest edition of its regional tourism magazine, continuing its mission to deepen awareness of the Maldives in Southeast Europe through authentic storytelling and educational content. The launch event was held in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, at Crystal Palace, Slovenia’s tallest and most iconic business tower located in BTC City, the country’s largest business and shopping district. It was a closed event attended by 50 invited guests, including clients, influencers, B2B partners, and media professionals.
This new edition offers a rich insight into the Maldives through the lens of tourism history, iconic atolls, curated resort selections, and personal guest stories highlighting not just destinations, but the evolution of the country’s tourism identity. It opens with a special feature inspired by an exclusive interview with Georges Corbin, the pioneer who played a valuable role in introducing tourism to the Maldives – providing the foundation for a compelling article on how tourism first began in the islands. More than just a promotional tool, the magazine serves as a platform to build understanding about the Maldives beyond beaches and luxury resorts. It also reflects Moji Maldivi’s growing role as a cultural bridge, connecting two regions through shared experiences, authentic narratives, and deeper tourism dialogue.
The magazine is led by Aishath Nuzuha Hrovatin, a Maldives native and founder of Moji Maldivi, who is dedicated to promoting travel and cultural collaboration between the Maldives and the Balkans. Combining her personal roots with professional insight, she leads the content curation with a strong focus on storytelling, sustainability, and regional relevance.
“This magazine is my way of giving something meaningful back to the place I call home. It’s not just about travel, it’s a contribution to a deeper understanding of our islands, our unique geographical features, our communities, and a kind of tourism shaped not only by numbers, but by relationships, culture, and shared values.”
— Aishath Nuzuha Hrovatin, Founder & Editor
Highlights of the new edition include:
  • A feature on the hidden history behind the birth of Maldivian tourism
  • Insights into iconic atolls that shaped the national tourism identity
  • Curated resort showcases and stories from each featured atoll
  • Personal travel experiences and interviews with real guests
  • A reflection on Moji Maldivi’s mission as a travel brand and cultural bridge
Tailored for the Balkan audience in their local language, the magazine speaks to both general readers and travel professionals such as journalists, agencies, students, and destination managers, who seek a deeper understanding and cultural context beyond standard brochures.
Moji Maldivi continues to work in close collaboration with MMPRC and local partners to promote the Maldives across the Balkans and Southeast Europe. With the belief that the region holds strong potential as a tourism source market, Moji Maldivi sees its magazine as a key tool in inspiring and educating future travelers.
