Reethi Faru Resort is pleased to share the heartfelt stories of our dear guests, Iain and Debbie, who recently celebrated Debbie’s 40th visit to the Maldives, while Iain has made even more visits than her. Their journey with us began in 2005 when they discovered the Mahogany Group by chance, and since then, a deep connection has brought them back to our island paradise every year.

Iain and Debbie have turned their love for the Maldives into a unique experience, not just as visitors but as part of our extended family. Over the years, they have built lasting friendships with our staff, celebrating holidays, birthdays and special occasions together. “When we arrive, it feels like we’re meeting family at the end of a very long journey,” says Debbie. As retirees, Iain and Debbie now enjoy extended stays at the resort, spending up to three months a year diving, indulging in exceptional dining and enjoying spa treatments. Those little touches - like trying something new or receiving a taster dish - make all the difference,” explains Iain.

Their emotional connection to our resort is so strong that even thinking about leaving brings tears. “Every time we leave, I cry all day, even though I know I’ll be back in a few months. It’s always very hard to leave such a wonderful place,” Debbie admits.
