The Visit Maldives Club (VMC), opened participation for the Maldives’ biggest sports fishing tournament, “Burunu Boma,” scheduled to take place in May 2025. Visit Maldives Club (VMC) is an initiative spearheaded by the staff of The Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives), designed to strengthen the Maldives tourism industry through engaging events to create a unified tourism community that works together to elevate the Maldives as a top global destination. “BurunuBoma,” was officially launched on 20th December 2024, at a ceremony held at the Malé Table Tennis Hall. The event was honoured by the presence of the Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resources, Ahmed Shiyam.
