Visit Maldives’ and LFC’s #ShowYourRedsLocal Winners Fly to Liverpool for LFC vs. Tottenham

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/ Visit Maldives) is proud to announce the winners of the #ShowYourRedsLocal photo contest — a special initiative aimed at celebrating the passion of local Liverpool FC fans, have departed for Liverpool. The two winners, Ali Shahudh (@chuchu_ynwa) and Abdulla Ahnaf (@j8rdi._), embarked on a memorable journey to attend the highly anticipated Liverpool FC vs Tottenham match at Anfield.
Launched exclusively for Maldivians, the #ShowYourRedsLocal contest ran from April 13 to 20 and invited fans to share their love for Liverpool FC through photos on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. Submissions featured fans wearing official LFC gear, face paint, or displaying memorabilia, accompanied by the hashtag #ShowYourRedsLocal and tagged to official pages. Participants were encouraged to include a caption describing what Liverpool FC means to them.
The contest aimed to reward creativity, passion, and social engagement. Winners were selected based on photo quality, originality, and the overall display of fan spirit. The contest forms part of Visit Maldives’ wider partnership with Liverpool FC, which has already generated significant momentum. Since the partnership was announced, Visit Maldives achieved over 80 million in social media reach in just one week. The “Win A Holiday to Maldives” campaign via the MyLFC platform has drawn over 50,000 entries and continues to perform as one of the most engaging campaigns on the platform.
This campaign marks a meaningful milestone in bringing global and local fans together, showing how sport can unite hearts across oceans — from the shores of the Maldives to the stands of Anfield.
