Visit Maldives Corporation Showcases “Maldives as a Leading Sport Tourism Destination” with the 1st Thoddoo Masters Table Tennis Tournament

Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) proudly announces its role as the Destination Partner of the 1st Thoddoo Masters Table Tennis Tournament (TMTT), to be held from August 19–25, 2025, in AA. Thoddoo, Maldives.
The event is organized by Thoddoo Local Authority Company (TLAC) and Ihaa Table Tennis Academy (ITTA), endorsed by the Ministry of Sports, Fitness and Recreation, the Table Tennis Association of Maldives, and Visit Maldives Corporation.
Bringing together 120 international and local players aged 35 and above, the tournament goes beyond competition. It strengthens the Maldives’ vision of becoming a leading sport tourism destination, showcasing the country’s ability to host world-class sporting events alongside its renowned natural beauty and luxury hospitality.
Held at Thoddoo’s multi-purpose school hall, the tournament will also create opportunities for cultural exchange, community participation, and economic benefits for the island, reflecting the growing importance of sports tourism in diversifying the Maldives’ tourism offerings.
