Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/ Visit Maldives) is delighted to announce that we are supporting a wide array of events promoting Chinese and Maldivian cultural tourism and experiences. This comes on the heels of a special event hosted by MMPRC to welcome the first direct flight from the Fujian Province of China to the Maldives. 

MMPRC is supporting events hosted by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to the Maldives, and a special delegation from the Fujian Provincial People’s Government. The events are slated to be held for two days, from the 14th to 15th of February 2024. These promotional events come under the China-Maldives Cultural Exchange activities, serving as a significant platform to foster stronger ties and facilitate fruitful partnerships to enhance cooperation in areas ranging from cultural tourism to trade and investment. 

The events planned include Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism Forum on Wednesday, joined by high-level dignitaries from the Maldives and China. A Chinese Folk Music Flash Mob and a Fujian Culture and Tourism Promotion Event will be held the following day. 

MMPRC consistently conducts activities in this market to maintain the Maldives' appeal as the top destination for Chinese travellers. With the vibrant exchange of cultural initiatives planned ahead, Visit Maldives is poised to support deeper bilateral relationships, ultimately paving the way for a mutually beneficial relationship for both our nations.
