Visit Maldives to Host “Maldivian Evening 2025” as a Multi-Sensory Journey to the Maldives in Dubai

Visit Maldives is pleased to announce the "Maldivian Evening 2025," a prestigious event set to take place at the Theatre of Digital Art (TODA) in Dubai on April 28, 2025, from 19:00 to 23:00 on the sidelines of ATM 2025. Designed to showcase the Maldives as a multifaceted luxury destination, the event will offer a curated experience blending theatre, music, gastronomy, fashion, and storytelling, highlighting the depth of the Maldives’ offerings, including film tourism, heritage, and luxury travel experiences.
The "Maldivian Evening" will invite a distinguished audience of travel trade professionals, media representatives, influential figures, VIPs, and government stakeholders to embark on a multi-sensory journey through the Maldives. This initiative aims to reposition the Maldives as a destination rich in narratives, cinematic experiences, and world-class hospitality. The evening will commence with a Maldivian-themed red carpet reception at the TODA foyer with exclusive venue tours providing personalised walkthroughs of the immersive space with Visit Maldives officials and special hosts with plenty of moments for content capture and press engagement.
The agenda for the event includes the premiere of a short film titled “Dhivehi Dreams”, and a theatrical performance of “Dhon Hiyala & Alifulhu” combined with gastronomic storytelling, where Maldivian delicacies and thematic dishes inspired by each scene will be served. A fashion show featuring traditional Maldivian dresses with a modern twist, live musical performances, cultural dances, and storytelling segments will also be featured. Maldivian fusion dishes and traditional foods will be presented buffet-style, with curated menu cards explaining the story behind each item.
The evening will also feature interactive content zones, including a 360° immersive experience, a Virtual Reality room showcasing Maldivian ecosystems such as Mangrove Magic, Underwater Wonders, and Beaches of the Maldives, and an interactive room featuring traditional craftsmanship displays of Kasabu Viyun, Kunaa, and Fangi Vinun. Additionally, Raappe, a renowned artist, will create an art piece with live music in "Synergy of Art and Sound". To conclude the evening, Skyrock, a popular and beloved Maldivian band, will deliver a high-energy performance. The band's music blends local Maldivian influences with international appeal, ensuring an electrifying atmosphere that will resonate with all backgrounds.
Mr Ibrahim Shiuree, CEO & MD of Visit Maldives, stated: “This event will be a sensory journey that will allow attendees to experience the magic of the Maldives as never before. We are bringing our stories, music, flavours, and the Maldivian spirit to Dubai in a way that will deeply engage our audience.”
Maldivian Evening forms part of Visit Maldives’ broader strategy to redefine destination marketing through storytelling and cultural immersion. The event represents a shift towards regionally targeted campaigns with high impact. ATM Dubai 2025 has been designated as the flagship fair of the year by Visit Maldives, underlining the strategic importance of this event. We intend to strengthen trade and media ties, reposition the Maldives as a premier destination, and drive awareness of the diverse offerings from Maldivian properties and local experiences.
