Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of resorts in the Maldives marked the occasion of the Lunar New Year with great fervor on January 22, 2023 and welcomed the year of the rabbit in style with families feasting together.

A fun and interactive Dumpling making class was held for guests in the late afternoon by the W Maldives culinary team, to offer insider insights on the art of making perfect dumplings. Guests were given an opportunity to use a range of fillings to make their own, based on their preferences. The culinary session was well received by in-house guests since it was a re-creation of a popular Chinese New Year tradition fostering joyful times together with family and friends. Guests at W Maldives also had an opportunity to savor an indulgent Chinese New Year’s Eve dinner, in a family style set menu - a delight for both eyes and the palate and themed décor to set the mood.

JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa celebrated the Chinese New Year weekend with a curated Chinese themed dinner featuring traditional dishes such as Cantonese Style catch of the day and prosperity spring rolls. The sumptuous dinner and the various amenities placed in the villas allowed a unique family get-together for the festivities in an island paradise.
