Maldives legend wins double at inaugural ADEX Blue Legacy Awards 2026
Maldives Legend, a leading liveaboard operator in the Maldives, has been honoured with two prestigious awards at the inaugural ADEX Blue Legacy Awards 2026, held during the Asia Dive Expo (ADEX) in Singapore.
The company received Dive Travel Company / Agent of the Year and Liveaboard of the Year, marking a significant achievement at Asia’s largest and longest-running dive exhibition.
The ADEX Blue Legacy Awards were introduced this year to recognise excellence across diving, ocean tourism, marine conservation, and the arts. Winners were selected through a combination of industry nominations and public voting conducted between January and February 2026.
Maldives Legend is widely recognised for its premium liveaboard experiences, offering curated dive itineraries that showcase the Maldives’ diverse marine ecosystems. The company operates a fleet of five vessels — Legend X, Legend Zen, Legend Odyssey, Legend Sea Pleasure, and the upcoming flagship Legend Y, a 45-metre yacht scheduled for launch in September 2026.
The awards fall under the Ocean Tourism category, with Liveaboard of the Year recognising the quality of the company’s fleet and onboard experience, while Dive Travel Company / Agent of the Year highlights its contribution to promoting the Maldives as a world-class diving destination.
“This recognition belongs to our entire team, the crew, the dive guides and every guest who has trusted us with their experience in the Maldives,” said Group Chairman and Managing Director Ahmed Shaushaan Shafeeq (Shaan).
“We are honored to receive this recognition at Asia Dive Expo—a proud milestone for Maldives Legend that inspires us to keep delivering excellence,” said Group CEO Hifnaz Jiffrey.
Managed by Maldives Holiday Collections (MHC) Pvt Ltd, Maldives Legend has expanded steadily over the past decade under the leadership of Group Chairman Ahmed Shaushaan Shafeeq (Shaan) and Group CEO Hifnaz Jiffrey, with Director of Sales and Marketing Ali Sujuaan Shafeeq playing a key role in the company’s growth and global visibility.
In addition to its operations in the Maldives, the company has recently introduced the Legend Fleet in Indonesia and Sri Lanka, officially launching liveaboard operations in both destinations as part of its regional expansion strategy.
This latest recognition adds to Maldives Legend’s growing list of accolades, including Liveaboard / Yacht Operator of the Year at the National Boating Awards 2022 and Leading Floating Luxury Cruise / Safari at the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) in 2023 and 2024.
The company’s liveaboard itineraries span four key routes across the Maldives — Best of Maldives, Deep South, Hanifaru and North Ari, and The Great North — offering seven-night dive experiences complemented by modern onboard amenities such as spa services, free-diving programmes, and dedicated photography facilities.
The ADEX recognition further reinforces Maldives Legend’s position as a key player in luxury dive tourism and a trusted choice for divers worldwide.
